Qidu Pharmaceutical’s First Lipid Emulsion Triple-Chamber Bag Product Laifengneng® Approved for Marketing

September 07, 2026

On May 27, Qidu Pharmaceutical’s first independently developed lipid emulsion triple-chamber bag parenteral nutrition product, Laifengneng® – lipid Emulsion (10%) / Amino Acids (15) and Glucose (20%) Injection, was approved for marketing. The strength is 1000 mL [comprising 200 mL of lipid Emulsion Injection (10%), 400 mL of Compound Amino Acid (5.5%, 15AA) Injection, and 400 mL of Glucose Injection (20%)], packaged in a high-barrier, three-layer co-extruded infusion triple-chamber infusion bag container closure system. The product was filed under Chemical Drug Category 4 and is deemed equivalent to generic drugs that have passed consistency evaluation.

lipid Emulsion (10%) / Amino Acids (15) and Glucose (20%) Injection is a clinically urgent “all-in-one” parenteral nutrition formulation indicated for giving support when enteral nutrition is not feasible, insufficient, or contraindicated. This product is consistently recommended by multiple authoritative clinical guidelines and consensus, including Guideline for clinical application of parenteral and enteral nutrition in adults patients in China, Chinese expert consensus on adult supplemental parenteral nutrition, Expert consensus on clinical application of multi‐chamber bag for parenteral nutrition, Chinese expert consensus on the safety of parenteral nutrition. It is also included in Category B of the National Reimbursement Drug List. The annual domestic market size for this product has reached RMB 400–500 million, and with growing clinical acceptance and steadily increasing clinical demand, the future market prospects are very promising.

Laifengneng® not only shares the common advantages of lipid emulsion triple-chamber bag products – ready-to-use, closed and sterile system, reduced contamination risk, and convenient clinical application – but also offers the dual benefits of a scientifically balanced formulation and flexible infusion, further broadening its clinical applicability and usage scenarios.

First, scientifically balanced formulation for optimized nutrition. It achieves a precise balance among the three major nutrients – fat, amino acids, and glucose – with a carbohydrate-to-fat ratio of approximately 1.6, which falls within the clinically recommended range of 1–2. This ratio has a relatively minor impact on blood glucose and fat levels, providing ample energy while avoiding metabolic disturbances caused by excessive fat or glucose proportions. It can meet the energy requirements of most patients receiving supplemental parenteral nutrition. Moreover, compared with high-concentration (20%, 30%) lipid emulsion products, this product reduces the risk of lipid overload syndrome, making it particularly suitable for patients with weaker lipid metabolic capacity.

Second, flexible infusion for safety and efficacy. The volume osmolarity is approximately 810 mOsmol/L, lower than some similar hyperosmolar products, offering better peripheral venous tolerance and less vascular irritation, thereby reducing the risks and complications associated with central venous catheterization and ensuring safer infusion. For patients requiring short-term parenteral nutrition, it is easier to administer, less invasive, requires smaller fluid volume, and shortens infusion time, all of which improve patient medication compliance.

The approval of Laifengneng® marks a major technological breakthrough for the Company in the field of parenteral nutrition, demonstrating that Qidu Pharma has achieved an advanced domestic level in the R&D and industrialization of high-end lipid emulsion multi-chamber bag formulations. Leveraging its lipid emulsion technology platform, the Company will continue to deepen its presence in the fields of fluid balance and parenteral nutrition therapy, adhering to the strategic directions of high-end development, product serialization, and independent innovation. With a focus on import substitution, Qidu Pharma will accelerate the R&D of high-end lipid emulsion formulations, including triple-chamber bag nutritional products and specialized therapeutic types, so as to provide clinical practice with the ”Qidu Solution” – delivering higher quality, more competitive pricing, and a more comprehensive product portfolio.
